Shooting incident near Chicago Fire crew

No injuries - but shooting is the latest in a spate of recent incidents close to Chicago crews.

A shooting -not the filmic kind- has taken place in Chicago, near the set of Chicago Fire.

On Wednesday, Chicago Police confirmed that an unknown offender, armed with a handgun, shot at a group of people standing not far from where cast were filming the TV drama.

Deadline reports no-one was struck and the offender fled in a dark-coloured SUV.

No one was injured, though production was apparently halted for the day. Detectives are investigating.

The shooting is the latest in a spate of recent incidents close to Chicago productions. In July, production on Justified: City Primeval was halted after two cars, whose occupants were engaged in a gunfight, smashed through the show’s barricades.
