  1. What a slap in the face to people who do not have a roof over their heads, struggling to find accommodations and Nine rubs “The Block” in peoples faces. The money used to produce it would be a good gesture to help build more accommodation for those who really need help. Now that would be a ratings winner for Nine.

    1. “The Block would also assist homelessness charities in the wake of the sale, tipped at around $15m, either through cash donations or renovations.” – 2017 You can also read about Nine Cares community donations and fundraising here. There was a telethon for Children’s Cancer only last week.

  2. don’t think it is the way that it is meant to be watched but watched all of Bali 2002 in one go. thought it was really well done especially splicing in original footage and great cast – really deserves a FTA screening

    1. Shock! You mean the advert sucked people in and then didn’t deliver? It astounds me that the ‘misleading promo’ doesn’t result in accountability. Any other product that is misleading has consequences and yet free-to-air provides a free service that isn’t what they promised to deliver…. Luckily shareholders get what they profit the networks make from advertising etc.

    2. The disqualification stood, but the team did not win so it didn’t need to be enforced. They did lose points as well. Personally, I think a disqualification means you should come last regardless.

Meanwhile the harsh judging of Dylan and Jenny marches on…hope they win.

  3. Big fail in that pic. Did no one enlighten them of the rules re mounting a TV above a fireplace? Especially this one. There’s no mantel.
Is it OK to mount TV above fireplace?
The short answer is – yes. However, to ensure your television isn’t damaged from the heat, care must be taken to ensure heat generated by the fireplace is redirected away from television. There are several ways to do this, such as installing a proper mantel and building an alcove for the television. (heatilator.com)
