Johanna and Charlie are heading out on an adventure of a lifetime, a cruise around Alaska, full of wildlife, wild vistas and wild fun! They’re ticking off items on their bucket list faster than you can say glaciers, whales and crabs. From the Alaskan capital, they set off to go whale watching before travelling up to the spectacular Glacier Bay to see not one, not two, but seven glaciers! It’s then back to Juneau for a local delicacy at a crab shack. If you haven’t thought about travelling for a while, Johanna and Charlie might just be the ones to tempt you.

He’ll go through all the tips and tricks from assessing a wall’s suitability to the different tile patterns you can use!

Fast Ed – Better Basics: Perfect Pavlova
Few dishes are as proudly an Australian icon as pavlova. A gooey marshmallow-meringue surrounded by just the right amount of crust, before being piled high with whipped cream and summer fruit. Well, you can all be trusted to whip cream and select your fruit of choice, but making a perfect pav is equal parts art and science. So, with Christmas just moments away, Ed’s here to help you master this most elusive of desserts.

Fast Ed – Better Basics: Traybake Tart
Ed ‘s traybake tart must be just about the simplest way to feed a family any night of the week. In terms of flavours, you can use anything you have in the fridge, as long as you have some puff pastry in the freezer. What makes this a Better Basic is the art of keeping the pastry crisp even when there are so many juicy ingredients are on top. With Ed’s help, you’ll soon be the master of this quick family meal.

Fast Ed – Excess Mango
Mangoes that have become soft are great for smoothies and other sweet treats. But, if you’re looking for a refreshing drink this summer, Ed will show you how to make your own mango cordial, perfect for those scorching hot days.

Melissa – Buttons & The Mushroomery
There’s a small urban farm in Melbourne that supplies the local community with a very unusual food – oyster mushrooms. Melissa explores this little farm to learn everything she can about these delicate, mild and savoury mushrooms and of course she has all the pro tips so you can grow these tasty gourmet and beautiful fungi at your place.

Juliet – Leaf It To Me This Christmas
Winter Christmas paraphernalia might look great, but they’re not particularly Australian. Juliet is going to show you how to combine some classic Aussie items to make your Christmas table decorations, gift tags and place names look a little more relevant to a Summer Christmas. With just a little time and effort, you too can give your Christmas some Aussie flair!

Dr Harry – Mini Trots
Aspiring AFL players have Auskick and the NRL has League Stars, so now harness racing has Mini Trots. As Dr Harry finds out, this program is a great stepping stone for budding young drivers to get involved in the sport. With their pint -sized ponies and scaled down buggies, these young drivers compete in organised races at harness racing tracks around Australia as well as agricultural shows and special gala day events. But it’s not all about competition, the kids get to have lots of fun and learn horsemanship, reining and driving skills in a safe and nurturing environment.

7pm Friday on Seven / 7TWO.
