This week they’re stopping at the historic port of Skagway, where a tour of this gold rush era settlement reveals a beautifully preserved town that doesn’t look a lot different from 1896 when tens of thousands of prospectors tried to make their fortunes. As the cruise ship heads back south down Alaska’s Inside Passage, Johanna discovers all the culinary delights and entertainment the ship has to offer. Meanwhile, Charlie takes a day trip to the town of Ketchikan to take in the rich native culture, try his hand at lumberjacking and finish this amazing adventure by observing some black bears as they feed on migrating salmon.
