US series which debuts this week in Australia, has been given a second season.

US procedural Fire Country, which debuts this week on 10, has been renewed for Season 2 by CBS.

It was also given a full season order less than two weeks after it debuted.

The series centres around prisoners who assist the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. The series stars Max Thieriot, Billy Burke, Kevin Alejandro, Diane Farr, Stephanie Arcila, Jordan Calloway and Jules Latimer.

It is averaging over 10 million US viewers per episode in Live+35 day multiplatform viewing.

“It’s pretty remarkable to see a new series resonate like this with both broadcast and streaming audiences right out of the gate,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “Fire Country has so many appealing entry points for the audience. It combines high-stakes action with small town charm, mystery and romance, and a family franchise at its core. We’re blessed to have an incredible team in front of and behind the camera led by amazing producers and writers and an exceptionally talented cast.”

  1. It’s funny I was just doing the survey & got to the question about what international show should be shown here & I have seen stories about this show on ET but my mind went blank & I couldn’t remember what it was called then a couple of days later get the email that it starts here this week. It has the guy from Seal Team so I’ve been wanting to watch it.

  2. Just a heads up, Paramount+ are uploading the episodes weekly too. 9 episodes are currently available to watch. I wonder if it’s any good, or whether it’s another standard procedural type US broadcast show…
