This week on Better Homes & Gardens Joh and Charlie are in Vancouver, Graham is in Tasmania, James tackles the Electric Vehicle market.

Johanna + Charlie – Green Vancouver
Vancouver, Canada is a city full of culture, beautiful parks and wild wilderness. Tonight, Joh and Charlie explore the wild, green side of the city. With the help of some local guides, they explore the serenity of the natural surrounds, from the forest floor right up into the tree tops and the birds of prey that live there. But it’s not all-natural wilderness, Joh and Charlie also tour two of Vancouver’s most beautiful, designed gardens: the Queen Elizabeth Garden and the VanDusen Botanical Garden. While Charlie geeks out on the enormous number of plants and flowers, Joh’s in her element learning about the pollinating flowers and variety of bees. Vancouver really is where the wilderness meets the city.

Adam – Let There Be Light – Skylight
Tonight, Adam is addressing what can be a major problem in a lot of bathrooms, lack of light. While skylights are a great solution, if you’re home has a roof that makes installing one tricky, then what do you do? Adam will look at an option that features the same ambience as a skylight without the problems you can get with traditional skylights. Featuring a solar power source, this light is not only power bill and environmentally friendly but is also a DIY friendly option!

Karen – Pink Fish Fried Rice With Nori
Like the rest of us, Karen often cooks too much when rice is on the menu, but this just gives her the opportunity to get creative about how to use the leftovers. Her latest bowl of deliciousness is a fried rice with salmon or ocean trout, ginger, and a few other ingredients. Served with crispy nori and spiced with Korean chilli paste this is no run of the mill fried rice. With some easy preparation this dish comes together in a flash, making it a great midweek dinner or weekend lunch saviour!
