Alex Cullen to focus on sport while Brooke Boney covers news presenting and entertainment.

Nine has made some changes to duties for two Today show presenters.
Nine’s director of morning television, Steve Burling, said: “The importance of sport across Nine has led to us shifting focus on our line-up for Today, with Brooke Boney now taking on news and entertainment and Alex Cullen totally focused on sport.
“Alex has a passion for all things sport, so it is a comfortable fit.”
Cullen joines the Today show as sports presenter in January 2020 before taking up news duties in March when Tracey Vo returned to Perth during the pandemic.
He was previously a sports presenter for Seven News and reporter for Sunday Night.

Alex Cullen likes making a lot of jokes, and the news needs someone serious, is this why he is only doing the sport?
I love Brooke, but I’m not sure about having the person who is reading the ‘hard’ news then popping up 10 minutes later to gab about red carpet fashion or some celebrity scandal.
