The series will air on Seven on Q4.

For the first time on SAS Australia, these men and women will travel offshore to a secret base in the Middle East, where they will eat, sleep and train together in punishingly hot and arid conditions, with no allowances or exceptions made for their celebrity status or gender.

The celebrities will be pushed beyond their limits like never before, as they’re subjected to extreme physical endurance, sleep deprivation, interrogation and psychological testing in unforgiving, dramatic terrain. Some will reach breaking point and withdraw. Who will have the mental strength to tough it out to the end?

  1. An interesting duty of care question for the producers. They are filming in the Middle East; not particularly known for their tolerance for LGBTQIA+ people. I hope Matt and the producers know what they are doing!

  2. Nothing about this show sits right with me. Belittling people, shouting down at them, humiliating them and then turning around and telling them how good they are if they make it. There are other ways to get the best out of a person. I just can’t stand over the top shouty people barking orders at people. To each his own. Nope not on my viewing list.

  3. If anyone wants to know sims Anderson is a talented attractive actress who played roxy Willis for the last 3 to 4 years on neighbours it’s good that they chose no home and away stars for a change.

  4. I can’t say I know too many of the people (and if I do watch, I’ll be curious to get to know them)

However, why Abby?? – she did two seasons of Survivor (Champs/Contenders 2 and All-Stars) and other than being great at challenges, she didn’t bring much from an entertainment or character perspective. I’m sure she is great at commentating AFL games and in her other endeavours … but as a reality tv person, she was not it.

Also, why Anthony … didn’t he give up after a week on I’m A Celeb. For a show about “pushing celebrities to their limit”, based on past performance in a similar situation, you’d have to say he would crack early.

      1. I’ll be honest – I only recognise 5 – Abby (via Survivor as opposed to her more notable role in commentating), Anthony, Actor Craig, Bachelor Tim and Peter (entirely due to popping up in recent headlines – RE: His performance enhancement accusations – but I would not have recognised before). And of course I know of the Thai Cave Rescue as an event – but not the person behind the rescues in Dr Craig (so, 6 if you want to count that).

Everyone else, I don’t think I could pick out of a line up. And if I watch, I’ll be curious to get to know them in watching.

  5. If Abbey Holmes is going into SAS, I am wondering whether the AFL season will be finished or not? I know that the AFL season runs from mid-March through to end of September.
