Natalie Barr and Matt Shirvington will host a special edition of Sunrise from 3am Wednesday, April 5 for rolling coverage of the historic indictment of former US President Donald Trump.

The biggest breaking news story of the year will feature live crosses with US correspondents Tim Lester at Trump Tower and David Woiwod from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Estate in Florida; while US bureau chief Ash Mullany will report from the Manhattan court where New York district attorney, Alvin Bragg is expected to outline the 34 charges against the controversial businessman-turned-political powerhouse, over allegations he paid hush money to porn star, Stormy Daniels.

International political experts Keith Suter and Simon Jackman will offer analysis, while legal advocate to the stars Gloria Allred and former Trump advisor John Bolton will explain the ramifications for Trump and his planned tilt at winning back the White House.

  1. Not used to seeing Matt Shirvington in a news presenting role. Its good to see Seven giving him getting a chance to try it and who better to pair him with that Natalie Barr, who has a wealth of experience covering news.
