Matt Shirvington visits Summer Bay

Matt Shirvington and Natalie Barr will play themselves in a guest appearance this week.

Sunrise presenters Matt Shirvington and Natalie Barr will play themselves in a guest appearance on Home & Away when Hollywood actor ‘Stevie Marlow’ (Catherine Van-Davies) visits Summer Bay.

Also this week a new relationship is on the rocks and a shocking turn of events leaves Dana (Ally Harris) and Harper (Jessica Redmayne) reeling.

Here’s how the Sunrise hosts are woven into the storyline, with Shirvo on set and Natalie Barr in the Sunrise studio.

Since her arrival in town, the A-lister has made waves in the Bay, bringing with her a troupe of loyal fans and unprecedented media interest in the seaside community.

After hiring ex-cop Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) as her personal bodyguard, Stevie selects Summer Bay as the perfect backdrop for her new romcom. Before long, the Bay is abuzz with the excitement of movie magic and the media circus that comes with it.

On the first day of production, the PR machine is in full swing as Stevie gears up for a ‘live’ Sunrise cross from the set.

But when John Palmer (Shane Withington) gets a case of stage fright before his big morning TV debut, it’s up to none other than Summer Bay icon, Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher), to step up and escort Stevie to the interview.

The fun scene sees Shirvo interviewing the famous starlet, and crossing back to Nat who is ‘live’ from Sunrise’s new, state of the art studio in Sydney.

Wednesday, 7.00pm on Seven.

  1. Although playing himself, he is still acting. So we can potentially see Shirvo up for best Actor, Best Presenter and the Gold for next year’s Logies. Lol.

  2. When it comes to Home and Away, I preferred when the only drama coming into town was a troubled foster kid seeking love, compassion and a pathway to redemption. Too old school I suppose but more relevant than ever in 2024 with such a focus in the news on on youth crime/knives/extremism/traumatised youth offending as adults/foster carer shortages…?
