Logies sets nomination date

Nominees for the 63rd Logies are set to be announced soon.

Nominations for the 63rd Logie Awards will be announced in just under two weeks time.

TV Week will announce nominations at an industry event at 7:15am Monday June 19 in Sydney.

No doubt there will be Live crosses to breakfast TV shows as top categories are announced.

Seven is host broadcaster this year after wrestling the rights from Nine, for the first time since 1985.

A venue is yet to be confirmed but widely tipped to be held at The Star, Sydney, on Sunday July 30.

  1. Good to see that there is now a date for the “nominations announcements” for the upcoming Logies. I can also see live crosses from breakky tv. However, with the Logies now being a Seven event, there’ll most likely be more coverage on Sunrise than other networks…..

    There’s always speculation on who’ll be up for a gong, including Hamish Blake, Ray Meagher and Sam Pang. I can also see the likes of Jock Zonfrillo and David Koch making the list this time too.

    Am hoping that the Loges have some people from the second half last year nominated too, as it’s part of the eligibility period. With the likes of Amanda Keller.

  3. I think they should’ve been announced last week, or the full two months in advance. The reason is because people are already talking about it. There’s already speculation that the gold Logie be going to Sam Pang, Hamish Blake, Melissa Leong, Sonia Kruger and so on.

How about Stefan Dennis from neighbours he’s been on tv for decades even in Britain when he took a 10 year break from Ramsay street.i think he was on Henderson kids,prisoner,a country practice,blue healers and numerous other tv show but has he been nominated or give it to Jackie Woodburne or the excellent sir Allan Fletcher
