During the State of Origin Nine teased a promo for its upcoming travel / adventure contest, Rush.
Rush follows twelve everyday Aussies embarking on an adventure of a lifetime to some of the most exhilarating places on the planet.
Dropped into the heart of some of the most pulsating cultural festivals, huge events and exotic locations in Brazil, Turkey, Jordan, India, Thailand, Ireland, France, Kenya and South Africa, deprived of all senses they must work together to complete the mission and reach the Escape Zone.
Former Australian Survivor winner David Genat is host with Endemol Shine Australia / Nine as producers.

Is this the “Globetrotters Australia” show that I saw asking for contestants late last year? If so, this looks to be Nine’s answer to The Amazing Race Australia. Considering TAR Australia is one of my favorite shows, I should enjoy this series. The promo looks awesome!
it looks well produced and they certainly have gone to far flung amazing places.
However, I don’t know what the hook in the concept is to differentiate Rush from Amazing Race. Like the charm of AR is the partner format, and that basically you’re on an extreme backpacking holiday with your best friend, with it also being a race for big money.
I’m curious by it, but I don’t think it will capture my interest.
‘Amazing Race’ anyone? Also the 3rd Oz show of the same title, although the iconic 70s ABC gold miner series was a while back now.
