Nine reality series Rush this week visits India and Thailand.
Team Navy, Team Gold and Team Scarlet are dropped into the chaotic and colourful Holi Festival – a rush of colour, music and dancing and India’s biggest religious festival. Also known as the “Festival of Colours”, The Holi Festival celebrates spring, love, new life…and a whole lot of colour. From there, they must embark on a three day journey across the country via taxis, trains and tuk-tuks. Along the way team dynamics will be tested and a romance will blossom as they visit ancient palaces and take part in centuries old traditions, all while making their way to the Escape Zone.

Losing Saxon is a huge mistake. A major dynamic is gone and the remaining players are pretty slim pickings and dull. Think I’ll tune out.
Oddly that can also be the sort of development that some viewers can appreciate in a reality program, to see how they will they cope with the situation. It’s more realism than if reality shows were to be rigged so the favourites remain.
I saw this show over the weekend. It does seem like a TAR clone, though it does seem good for young travellers or those planning to explore overseas. For example the word water was lost in translation, but one team member had the acumen to try the word aqua as well. Some interesting locations as well.
