Sam Pang hosts the 63rd TV Week Logie Awards at The Star, Sydney, on Sunday night, screening on Seven.
This marks the first time in 11 years the event has a single host.
It is the first time in 37 years the event is held in Sydney.
Amongst the other “firsts”:
- Mark Coles Smith is the First Indigenous Actor nominated for Gold
- Kween Kong from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under is the first drag queen nominated for a Logie.
- All 6 Outstanding Actress nominees are from the Subscription sector.

Voting remains open until the end of the red carpet telecast on Sunday at 7.30pm AEST, except for the Gold Logie Award, which, for the first time ever, will stay open throughout the telecast and close at 10.30pm AEST.

Good pick, but never ask for Comment of the Week hehe.
My guess would be Daryl Somers will present the Gold Logie. Especially since Sonia “Hosts Everything” Kruger is probably going to win it, with a huge marketing push from Seven. I really want Julia to win. but it would be a nice moment for Daryl to present to Sonya.

I just realised The Project is missing from being nominated in any category! This is a first for many years! I know it has its haters but I’ve always loved it but sadly it’s just not the same so probably not surprising it’s not nominated.
