Seven News presenter Peter Mitchell persisted last night when an alarm went off during the Live 6pm bulletin.

“We do have a fire alarm going at the moment,” he told viewers, “but we’re being told all is ok. It’s just a drill but I’ll continue anyway, hopefully you can hear me!”

Alarms have previously gone off in live broadcasts of shopping channel TVSN and ABC2’s Dead Drunk amongst others.

  1. This doesn’t surprise me when a television station is placed in a 9am to 5pm office building!
    Well done Mitch for carrying on and putting up with the workers from ABC’s Utopia!!
