MKR returns to Seven for Season 13 in early September with co-hosts and judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge travelling across the country to meet home cooks in their own homes.
Nigella Lawson joins them later as judge in Kitchen HQ.
Mother and son, Sonia and Marcus, love each other deeply but fight like cats and dogs. Will their tumultuous relationship thrive or die under pressure in the kitchen? The Adelaide-based Italian mother and son are loud, passionate and sure to entertain in and out of the kitchen. Sonia often gets outraged by the tornado Marcus leaves behind. Marcus, frustrated with his mother’s perfectionism, doesn’t listen to her… Often leading to disaster in kitchen. “If they [the judges and the guest teams] could see what was going on, they would think they were at the circus,” Sonia says while cooking in their instant restaurant.
Inseparable identical twins Radha and Prabha can read each other’s minds, but will their telepathic powers prove a competitive advantage the kitchen? Being in sync is not their only superpower, the Sydney-based sisters did the unthinkable and left Colin Fassnidge – the toughest judge to impress – in tears, when they served their late dad’s favourite dish in their instant restaurant. “We lost our dad when we were two. Every time we cook a dish, it reminds us of him,” the twins said. “We were able to give tribute to our dad.”
The piping-hot chemistry between best friends Tommy and Rach might set tongues wagging, but are they an A-team in the kitchen? The Melbourne-based housemates often get mistaken for a loved-up couple with the amount of affectionate touches and glances they share. The truth? They are just friends. Tommy says: “Our relationship is almost as if we are dating. It’s a little bit complicated.” “We are not in a relationship romantically,” adds Rach. Both agree they couldn’t think of competing in MKR with anyone but each other. Is friendship the secret ingredient to win MKR? Tommy and Rach are representing Western Australia: Rach’s home state.

With the World Cup over, and the fact that I don’t really watch anything else on Seven at the moment, thankfully I will no longer need to endure repetitive MKR ads.
Just curious, if this is returning in 2 weeks time, what is happening with The Voice? i know they cut down on episodes after blinds but blinds aren’t over yet.
Most likely go to Sunday nights only once the blinds are finished.
I hope it’s a short season like last year which was mainly instant restaurants and hardly any kitchen HQ but since Nigella is coming back just for kitchen HQ i don’t think it will be
must be short. They still have Big Brother and SAS to air before December.
