The Traitors: update

The Traitors will not screen on Tuesday night but is set to return to 10 next week.

10 has made some changes to its plans for The Traitors which the network assures is due to the heavy and unfolding sporting events this week.

The Traitors screens its second episode tonight at 7:30pm but will not screen on Tuesday night.

Although The Block and The Voice screen on rival channels a FIFA Women’s World Cup semi-final screens at 6pm AEST on 7mate. 10 will instead screen a Dog House repeat.

On Wednesday it is sensibly holding over new Thank God You’re Here, The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers and Five Bedrooms given the Matildas semi-final.

It will screen The Dog House at 7:30pm and a double ep of Ambulance Australia at 8:30pm. Nine is similarly adjusting its schedules amid heavy artillery.

A 10 spokesperson said, “At Network 10, we’re all about kicking goals, but this Wednesday – it’s not about us. We know the nation will be supporting our amazing Matildas, so we’ve made some scheduling changes. That way, Aussies don’t miss out on 10’s epic hump day programming, and our Tillies get all the claps, chants and cheers they so rightly deserve.”

On Sunday night FIFA Women’s World Cup reaches its Final on Seven, meaning The Traitors is also out on Sunday night (replacement show is TBA).

The Traitors is then confirmed for Monday 21, Tuesday 22, Sunday 27 and Monday 28.

  1. So they now will move timeslots for a show that is rating poorly (The Traitors), but last week they refused to move the Hunted from running against the football, thus impacting the finale ratings for one of their shows that performed decently? Then last Tuesday, they ran dead with another Dog House repeat, when they could have played the Hunted finale then? I’m baffled.

  2. edit – oops I realise now this would not have been directly up against the Matildas *but* there will still be enormous interest in Tuesday’s game especially as we will either be playing the winner in the final – or the loser for 3rd place.

    1. @ Ryan In this case it’s not a sign of anything other than a realisation that they would be pissing into the wind by screening it up against the Matildas..
