Johanna + Pete – Amazing Homes: Small Space Big Ideas
The Aussie dream used to be a quarter-acre block, but with houses in short supply, higher density inner-city living done well is now all important. Johanna and Pete explore a home that from the street, appears to be an unassuming four and a half metre wide terrace house. But a comprehensive internal renovation featuring a clever courtyard, a rooftop garden and dramatic indoor plants, means it now feels vast. This truly is a great lesson in how to turn limitations into impressive features.

Adam + Charlie – Clever Rejuvenating Tips For The Front Of Your Home
Federation houses are packed with charm and character, but Adam and Charlie have found one that needs a little TLC. While Adam works on the front of the house itself, fixing the deck, reinstating timber features and giving it a freshen up, Charlie focuses on making the garden work better. Without a large budget, they’ll return this cute heritage cottage back to its former glory.

Karen – Turkish Pizza, The Easy Way
Street Food is popular around the world because it’s made quickly, is easy to eat and is packed full of flavour. Karen’s Turkish Pizza is no different. Using pita bread and a bunch of store-bought ingredients means this dish is simple and fast. The only prep you need to do is spicing the meat, but it’s really about how you put it all together. While street food is designed to be eaten on the go this dish is so good, you’ll want to sit down and enjoy every bite.

Fast Ed – Steamed Pearl Perch With Cucumber Salad & Cashew Crumble
On the mid north coast of NSW you’ll find some of the freshest and most delicious seafood, so when in Rome, Ed’s going to steam a Pearl Perch. With such strong texture and flavour, the secret with this fish is to keep things simple. The last thing you want to do is compete with that taste, so a light and easy salad is the perfect accompaniment.

Fast Ed – Banana-Ricotta Skillet Cakes With Crushed Strawberries & Candied Macadamias
A cruisy and indulgent weekend breakfast is just about the best thing going around. But when Ed’s skillet cakes are this sweet and delicious, why wait until the weekend? While the secret ingredient helps to fluff up the skillet cakes, some candied macadamias and cooked strawberries give this dish a beautifully sweet edge.

Graham – Natives For Sun & Shade (Boongala Gardens)
If you adore the spectrum of colours and textures Australian natives have to offer, then this garden will give you all the inspiration you need. Tonight, Graham’s visiting Boongala Gardens in Kenthurst, one of the most admired Aussie Native Gardens in Australia. There you’ll find a collection of flora from around the country all living happily alongside each other and providing nectar rich honey to the birdlife. Not only a stunning garden there’s also an eclectic collection of homemade sculptures and pot planters dotted around that add a bit of art and whimsy to the garden. The result of more than 20 years of love, this one’s a real Aussie gem!

Juliet – Frame It & Hide Your TV
Love watching tv but don’t love how that big black rectangle looks on your wall when not in use? Juliet is going to show you how to build a simple frame that sits around your tv and allows you to have downloaded art images or your own photos as screen savers so you can have an art wall not a black hole!

Dr Harry – Chubba The Long-Beaked Chook
With more and more families keeping chooks in their backyards, it’s good to know how to take care of your egg-laying little friends. Dr Harry’s been asked by one such family, who now have 35 chickens, but it’s ‘Chubba’ the Silkie who has a beak issue that he’s really there to see. With his top beak way longer than his bottom, Chubba can’t eat or groom himself properly. To help Chubba, Dr Harry must become more of a nail technician than a vet. Will his mani-pedi help get Chubba back to having a clucking good time?

7pm Friday on Seven / 7TWO.
