Sunday Footy Show Grand Final: My Room Telethon

Updated: Nine, AFL stars and The Living End to help raise funds for kids fighting cancer.

The Sunday Footy Show will again team up with the My Room Children’s Cancer Charity to raise funds for kids fighting cancer.

Join Tony Jones, Nathan Brown, Matthew Lloyd, Kane Cornes, Damian Barrett and Alicia Muling as they link forces with hosts Alicia Loxely and Clint Stanaway. The panel will have the final word with the Grand Final teams ahead of the big dance as well as meeting the brave children and families that My Room supports.

Rock royalty The Living End will perform live in the studio, while a series of adrenaline-charged stunts will test the mettle of the team.

Plus, My Room ambassadors, Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli, Essendon star Andrew McGrath, Hawthorn gun Will Day and Demon Adam Tomlinson will lend their support.

And everyone’s favourite Magpie, “Strauchanie”, also known as comedian Peter Helliar, will make a special appearance.

This must-watch special evening will be filmed before a Live studio audience using Nant Studio’s giant LED screen – the largest of its kind in the world!

7.30pm on Friday September 29 (Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth).

  1. Why does 9 Adelaide & Perth want to air the Telethon when this Telethon is a Melbourne-based event? You see that SA & WA don’t care about a Melbourne-based telethon event. This was reflected in last year’s ratings for Telethon in SA & WA. Looks like a smug decision for 9 Perth & Adelaide to broadcast the My Room Telethon.

    1. I’m sure footy loving residents from SA and WA will to donate a dollar or too. I don’t think it’s smug by nine to televise it in those states as they are helping sick kids.
Oh and it takes a very strange person to be so negative about a telethon that is providing comfort to children with cancer.
