The Block nudges 1m metro viewers, Matildas scores for 10.

The Block hits another season high. Matildas draw their best number on network 10 so far.

The Block is lifting as it heads towards its all-important auction next Sunday.

Last night it was #1 at 990,000 metro viewers -its highest figure this season.

That was double The 1% Club at 480,000 then Joanna Lumley’s Spice Trail Adventure (461,000), Border Security (320,000).

Later 60 Minutes led at 481,000 then Annika (405,000), Shetland (314,000) and Ron Iddles: The Good Cop (281,000).

A Matildas v Philippines scored 523,000 for 10, its best number on the network, but the rest of the schedule let down the network overall.

Nine network won Sunday with 37.9% then Seven 22.8%, ABC 16.4%, 10 16.2% and SBS 6.7%.

Nine News was 770,000 with a late edition at 274,000.

Seven News won its slot at 782,000. Air Crash Investigations managed 122,000. A daytime Supercars on the GC drew 214,000.

ABC News was 533,000. Antiques Roadshow managed 154,000.

In an 8pm slot The Sunday Project (oddly coded as The Project 7pm) was 261,000. 10 News First was 207,000 then The Graham Norton Show (156,000) and FBI (85,000).

On SBS it was SBS World News (114,000 / 83,000), Pompeii: The Last Mysteries Revealed (72,000), Cleopatra: The Mystery of the Mummified Hand (70,000).

Rugby World Cup drew up to 213,000 on 9GEM.
