Mothering Sunday

Joyland

This BAFTA-nominated fictional drama chronicles the later years of Empress Elisabeth of Austria (Vicky Krieps). On Christmas Eve 1877, Elisabeth turns 40 and is officially deemed an old woman and starts trying to maintain her public image, once idolised for her beauty. The Worst Person in The World
This Norwegian romantic comedy was nominated for countless awards all over the world, including the Oscars, and winner of Best International Independent Film at the BIFAs in 2022. Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person in the World chronicles four years in the life of Julie (Renate Reinsve), a young woman who navigates the troubled waters ofher love life and struggles to find her career path, leading her to take a realistic look at who she really is.

Crimes of the Future

Petite Maman

The Lost King
Directed by Stephen Frears (Philomena, Florence Foster Jenkins), starring Sally Hawkins, Steve Coogan, In 2012, having been lost for over 500 years, the remains of King Richard III were discovered beneath a car park in Leicester. The search had been orchestrated by an amateur historian, Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins, nominated for a BAFTA for this role), whose unrelenting research had been met with in comprehension by her friends and family and with scepticism by experts and academics. The Lost King is the life-affirming true story of a woman who refused to be ignored and who took on the country’s most eminent historians, forcing them to think again about one of the most controversial kings in England’s history.

The Son
Golden Globe nominated drama centring on Peter (Hugh Jackman), whose hectic life with his infant and new partner Beth (Vanessa Kirby) is upended when his ex-wife Kate (Laura Dern) appears with their son Nicholas (Zen McGrath), who is now a teenager.The young man has been missing from school for months and is troubled, distant, and angry.
