Finland has picked up local format rights Australian dating series Love Triangle.
The show will be known locally as Kolmiodraama and is being produced by Banijay Finland for MTV.
Love Triangle, created by Endemol Shine Australia in conjunction with Nine Network, sees a hopeful single communicating with two potential partners through text messages and calls.
They then pick one of the partners and move in together, but their bond tested when the third partner is re-introduced to the show halfway through the season.
Finland follows the UK’s E4 picking up format rights.
Stan is screening S2 while Nine recently screened S1.
Tatu Ferchen, CEO Banijay Finland, said the format “perfectly addresses modern dating dilemmas fuelled by endless choices on apps and preconceived ideas of what your soulmate will look like.”
Lucas Green, chief content officer of operations at Banijay, added: “Love Triangle is testament to the creativity and skill of the EndemolShine Australia team in crafting attention-grabbing reality television which global audiences love. We can’t wait to see the local spin added to the Finnish and UK versions, as Love Triangle travels around the world.”
