Winners were announced last night at the 2023 Screen Music Awards held at the Forum in Melbourne, hosted by Susie Youssef.
Co-presenters inclded David Wenham and Remy Hii while Erkki Veltheim led the Screen Music Awards Orchestra.
The annual awards by APRA AMCOS and the AGSC (Australian Guild of Screen Composers) saw Michael Yezerski score a double victory for the Netflix series Ivy + Bean winning Best Television Theme and the Best Music for Children’s Programming category.
Amanda Brown won Best Music for a Television Series or Serial for Deadloch. The quirky whodunnit, created by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, also features Amanda’s inspired choral version of Divinyls classic I Touch Myself.
The Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie went to composer Mark Bradshaw for his work on the 8-part psychological thriller series The Clearing.
