Airdate: Carols by Candlelight (Adelaide)

79th Adelaide Carols includes Paul Kelly, Casey Donovan, Hugh Sheridan, Jay Laga’aia and more.

The 79th Carols by Candlelight event in Adelaide will take place on Saturday December 9 with a broadcast on 7TWO the following night.

The final line up includes for the first music icon Paul Kelly performing Silent Night and his classic Christmas song How to Make Gravy.

“I learnt my first carols In Adelaide as a child and Silent Night has always been one of my favourites. I’m looking forward to singing it again soon in Elder Park and joining with others in a beautiful night of Christmas music,” says Kelly.

Also appearing are Casey Donovan, plus Hugh Sheridan, Beccy Cole, Paulini, Amber Lawrence, Rachael Beck, Home and Away’s Matt Evans, Jay Laga’aia with two of his children Tana and Bella, Harrison Craig, Gospo Collective and stars from State Opera South Australia.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic rug and secure a spot early on the Elder Park lawns, with plenty of interactive games, activities, Christmas market and food stalls on offer from 2.00pm, right up until the concert begins in the evening at 8.15pm. Entertainment also includes the City of Adelaide pre-show concert from 5.00pm featuring an array of local artists.
