Special thanks go to publicists who keep me informed, readers and crew who pass on tips, and journalists reaching out for quotes.

Summer Hiatus continues for a few more weeks… and a new site feature is in development. Hope to reveal more on this soon.

Today is also your last day to vote in the 2023 TV Tonight Awards closing at 5pm AEDT. Results will be published next week.

David.

  1. I usually don’t comment in these anniverserial articles, as it’s usually a list of lot of happy birthdays, though TV Tonight has been around for a while now and has provided a valuable contribution to the television industry in all its platforms. Through all the ups and downs, for me at least, and the challenges the networks had to go through.

Australia is lucky to have a site like this, as it’s not common in many countries. I’m aware of the contribution of this site to the industry. The difference it made. Best wishes and wishing many more good years ahead. As D:Ream once sang, things can only get better.

  2. Congratulations David from this fairly early follower. If it is possible can you do a post showing the first page or story you ever published on TVT?

    1. It’s still online here. The blog emerged out of LGBT radio and street press. Most of what I wrote in 2007 about site style still applies today… interviews, behind the scenes, programming questions, humour, passion.

  3. Happy anniversary David and TVT, and also to the many familiar readers I enjoy the comments (and sometimes bantering off of). I still visit a couple of times a day. Perhaps in time for the 20th, an honorary Logie for services to the industry might be in order…
