Nine acquires The Travelling Auctioneers

SBS, Foxtel and Acorn TV also acquire drama and factual content from UK distributor.

Leading UK-based distributor DCD Rights has sold 300 hours of premium programming across both scripted and unscripted genres to Australia and New Zealand broadcasters and streamers.

Nine Network has picked up the second series of The Travelling Auctioneers from UK-based distributor DCD Rights.

The series sees Bargain Hunt‘s Christina Trevanion and The Repair Shop‘s Will Kirk help families turn unwanted items into winning lots. They hit the road in their mobile auction house to visit people’s homes and assess items they are willing to sell.

Foxtel Group has also acquired more than 160 hours of programming including, among others, James Martin’s Spanish Adventure, Emergency: First Time Medics, Penn & Teller: Fool Us Series 7 and Bridezillas Series 13. Australian free-to-air channel

SBS has also secured the first window for Prue Leith: My Cotswold Kitchen, to run on SBS Food, and Foxtel will take the second window.

Acorn TV has bought 59 hours of Scottish detective drama Taggart series 10-18 and 23-27.
