House of the Dragon 2 expected in June

Winter is coming again...

House of the Dragon season two is expected in June.

Warner Bros. Discovery streaming and gaming chief J.B. Perrette revealed the month during Morgan Stanley’s Technology, Media and Telecom conference.

Season two returning cast includes Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

New cast are Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne. Previously announced new cast includes Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.

While many productions were shut down last summer as part of the SAG-AFTRA strike, House of the Dragon‘s filming was able to go ahead as schedule as the show falls under the UK Equity contract.

Binge / Foxtel are yet to confirm the news for Australia but will doubtless be fast-tracking S2, if not offering a simultaneous screening with HBO.
