A new Sunday night AFL show offering from Nine is set to be called Footy Furnace, according to the Herald Sun.

AFL legend Leigh Matthews will reportedly front the wrap of the round program along with Jimmy Bartel and Nine’s chief football reporter Tom Morris.

The weekly show will reportedly be streamed live on 9Now at 7.30pm on Sundays and then air on Nine after 60 Minutes (presumably in ‘AFL states.’)

Nine is yet to formally announce its plans.

  1. Fingers crossed this is the Sunday night wrap-up show footy fans with half a brain have been craving, and not filled with “gee-ups” and “banter” and “fair dinkum characters”.
