Young Sheldon spin-off confirmed

Georgie and Mandy will raise their young family in Texas while navigating adulthood, parenting and marriage.

A Young Sheldon spin-off is proceeding in the US with a new half-hour, multi-camera comedy series starring Montana Jordan and Emily Osment greenlit by CBS.

The untitled new series, created by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland, follows Young Sheldon’s Georgie (Jordan) and Mandy (Osment) as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage.

“It has been a privilege to spend the last seven years with Sheldon and the Cooper family and now this wonderful journey will continue with Georgie and Mandy,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, in a statement. “Chuck and both Steves have done a masterful job developing these characters and entertaining generations of fans with relatable, heartwarming stories brought to life by Montana and Emily. We eagerly look forward to the next chapter in this beloved universe.”

“From The Big Bang Theory to Young Sheldon, the world of the Cooper family has been incredibly special to us,” Lorre, Molaro and Holland said in a joint statement. “We’re very excited to continue their stories through the eyes of Georgie and Mandy.”

Young Sheldon screens its last ever episode in the US in May.

  1. How lame another spin off I have zero interest in this couple I don’t understand why so many people are enamored of them and this story line. What I do want to know and am waiting for is when are we getting to see the final season of Young Sheldon here? Gee we have two networks showing them Netflix and Foxtel but all I’m seeing is all these storylines coming up but no actual show.

  2. Georgie and Mandy make a nice couple though did like Veronica. Young Sheldon has been a great series that reminds me of Wonder Years. Channel 9 or 9Go! yet to air 6th season.

  3. That’s lovely to read. I enjoy the Cooper family; especially Zoe Perry and Montana so I hope the former guest stars. Oh, and Annie Potts too!!!
