When she isn’t playing ‘Yvette the Vet’ in Colin from Accounts, actor Annie Maynard can be heard telling Virgin passengers to buckle up and get ready for take-off.
TV Tonight asked Maynard if she has been the anonymous voice on Virgin aircraft for years?
“Yes, good ears. Don’t vape in the toilets, that’s me,” she laughed.
“It’s surprising that people pick people’s voices but I guess it’s your identity, isn’t it?
Yes, I do a lot of it. But that one has people saying ‘Stop telling me to put my seat belt on!’
Maynard, who has featured in Wellmania, Playing for Keeps and Puberty Blues, returns as Yvette in Season 2 of the Binge comedy, but is staying mum on her storyline this season…
“No spoilers but she does obviously like to be involved in the drama, and she does get quite heavily involved.
“And then there’s sort of a spectacular storyline. I don’t want to give away where it goes. But she’s not ready to go yet.”
