  1. As was commented on in the TV Tonight TV Lounge section, there were instances where at least two times during the broadcast, there were what appeared to be technical difficulties where the scene switched once to footage of the CNN building and another time to a reporter in a studio seemingly looking over papers. On both occasions, it occurred when Biden was speaking. I quickly changed channels and saw that it wasn’t happening on ABC News 24.

CNN since claimed that there was no issue regarding time delays, despite conjecture about there being an increase in the time delay of 7 seconds to 2 minutes.

The fact that these technical difficulties happened are suspicious and could fuel speculation into election and broadcast interference.

    1. You do know Australia and America are allies..of course their politics has a lot to do with us…defence being one of the most important…since WWI…the Australian American Alliance or ANZUZ…plus economy, trade.. and so much more.

    2. I do have some agreeance in that, considering that Australia’s neighbour Indonesia has a sizable population, that is up there with the USA.

People say that USA are more allies, but I’d say that Indonesia are close allies and are neighbours too. There’s the show Planet America, but no Planet Indonesia in relation to Indonesian politics and the Indonesian election which happened this year.

To be fair, ABC did have some Indonesian election programming and have fostered further ties with Indonesian broadcasting.

      1. I was referring to Australia and America only…nothing to do with Indonesia…Australia did not recognise Indonesia until 1947 because it was a communist influenced country and the Australian Indonesia Security Agreement was not signed until 1995… I come from a military family going back to the WI many of my family members have served in Orange Transvaal Africa..The Light Horse..Armoured..Engineers..and Signals..including myself…and Americans being Americans and their love of war..they has been involved in every major war going back to the American revolution…but I’m not out to score points just stating fact.

    3. US politics is focused on to distract people from our own politics, as well as forming a consensus to follow the US into whatever the next war they want us to be in. We’re a vassal state. They also use countries like ours as English speakers to be propagandised to push various agendas online.
I have many American friends and Families that live here in Australia and they’re completely gobsmacked at what the average Australian thinks about the US. Especially how vehemently they’ll argue about things to do with America that they’re completely wrong about.
It’s actually really fascinating, but these American’s I know hate it because they constantly have Australian’s incorrectly lecturing them on America.

      1. Let’s not forget..America was colonised by the British…. and several other European countries..like France..Spain..Dutch….just as some examples…but Australia is “influenced” by American politics..and some of their constitution…however Australia still follows some of the Westminster government…besides Australia has not participated in every war that America has been in..which is roughly over 100.

    1. I don’t mind it – I almost consider ABC News to be a primary channel of sorts and equal to ABC1 in terms of prominence – besides it would likely be simulcast on ABCNews if it was on ABC1, so give people the choice.
