Returning: NCIS

NCIS returns to TEN next Tuesday night for its 11th season.

2013-10-15_0011NCIS fans have been heard.

The show returns to TEN next Tuesday night at 8:30pm for its 11th season, which began in the US in late September (possibly a Friday night replay too).

This should definitely help lift TEN’s Tuesday shares.

“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot”
In the season premiere, an explosion at an event that results in a casualty connected to the agency changes Parsons’ perspective on Gibbs and the NCIS team. Meanwhile, without badges, DiNozzo and McGee investigate the case as civilians.

The episode where Cote de Pablo (Ziva) exits will air October 29.

After today Sleepy Hollow has a 3 week break in the US, so it’s not clear where it will be rescheduled.

  1. I’m glad TEN is going to show the new episodes of NCIS and it’ll be good to see how Ziva leaves too. And I hope TEN don’t put Sleepy Hollow onto Channel 11. I thought it was a good show.

  2. I’m not surprised. Thank you for the relatively decent treatment of Sleepy Hollow. I personally won’t be upset if you decide to move it to Eleven at the same time and day when it returns. Or another option if you are going with NCIS which seems likely. There’s the non-ratings period. I wonder if you’d be willing to try it from the start again. To see if you can pick up viewers.

I assume the starting a show at 9.30pm and moving it to 8.30pm type experiment is over. Maybe next time if there is a show of a similar type and you want to try to keep the audience just try a straight replacement the next week. It might not work. But it isn’t as confusing for the viewers. Although I won’t be surprised if Ten has learnt it with this.

Again however thank you for Sleepy Hollow.

  3. it is about time its coming back but not alot of promotion just like with LA didnt know it had return & had to watch it on there crappy video service on there site & lyn yer it should be left on a tuesday but it did well also on a wednesday they did it when la & hawaii five 0 started & got ratings in the million range its also the same with elementary it did extremely well when i think it started on a thursday or wednesday very early on i think before moving to sunday could be wrong

  4. That’s not too bad I guess, technically will only be 3 episodes behind the US, with episode 4 showing tomorrow in the US (being it’s on Tues there which is Weds here).

  5. They decided to wait till R2R and SH finished.

Though it looks like there are 7 eps in the first block of NCIS eps, and 6 weeks of ratings left so once they started it there was not much point in bumping SH.
