Katee Sackhoff lands lead in NBC pilot

This is well overdue, Katee Sackhoff gets her own show as an LA cop in the pilot Lost & Found.

Battlestar Galactica’s Katee Sackhoff has been cast in the lead role of Lost and Found, the Dick Wolf-produced drama created by Chris Levinson (Law & Order, Tru Calling, Charmed).

The dynamic Sackhoff will play an offbeat female LAPD detective who, after butting heads with superiors, is sent as a punishment to the basement to work on ‘John Doe and Jane Doe’ cases.

The casting of Sackhoff means a firm production order for the pilot, which was picked up last month as cast-contingent.

Updated: Sackhoff, who also had roles on Bionic Woman, was also to have a recurring role on the upcoming season of Nip / Tuck but is likely to be re-cast by Rose McGowan following the Lost and Found announcement.

  1. Life’s ratings aren’t too bad, they’re only average though. It certainly rates better than other NBC shows like Chuck, Lipstick Jungle and axed shows like Bionic Woman and Journeyman from last year. And the series will air on Monday nights for around a month until My Own Worst Enemy premieres. With Heroes as a lead-in it has the potential to grab new viewers, although I agree its chances of a third season aren’t too hot, there’s only so much they can do with the whole “conspiracy” plot until it starts getting tedious like Prison Break’s 3rd season.

  2. Another cop show? NBC should be focussing on Life, thats the only cop show they need to be looking at on their network. They already have 3 Law and Orders (CI still does repeats later on in the season, even know they’re on USA now), they have the Trey Atwood/Logan-Marshall Green midseason cop show “Blue Blood”, and now they have this.
