Bumped: Hell’s Kitchen, Bridezillas

The underperforming Chef Ramsay takes a hit, while Nine plans to re-screen the first Underbelly season -including in Melbourne.

Next week Hell’s Kitchen will screen at 10:30pm on Tuesday night, replaced by a new episode of 20 to 1.

Bridezillas is out.

A week later, April 28th, both Ramsay and Bridezillas are out because Nine is planning Underbelly Uncut, a repeat screening from the first series beginning withe the first two episodes from 9:30pm.

These will screen on Nine in Sydney, Brisbane. Melbourne  won’t get the uncut version.

New eps of 20 to 1 continue on Thursdays. Bert must have racked up a lot of lists, but the show did rate well last night.

  1. How can a televison station be so utterly disrespectful to its viewers. Talk about being a dictator. People were watching Hell’s kitchen and I get really, really tired of being told what to watch. Why do I have to watch a constant diet of smutty Australian behaviour in overated, boring soaps? Gordon Ramsay is far more interesting.
    Channel 2 pulled the same type of stunt a few years back when I was watching “The Bill” as a regular. They basically stopped playing “The Bill” for a few weeks so they could flog some other program with the same viewers. Well guess what? I stopped watching it because I won’t be “tricked” into watching another program. I will do the same with channel 9 and won’t be dictated by the iditos there either.
    Goodbye channel 9 and you can keep your Pork Belly.
    Ps Why do we have to watch Bert Newton or his off-spring all the time. Maybe they are trying to take over the world?

  4. I have Underbelly on dvd, if i wanna watch it again i’ll watch it on my dvd player!!

    Put somethin new on!! N enough with Two n a half men!!!!!
    Bridezillasis a friggin awesome show!! those bitches get so caty!!!

    How can Underbelly uncut be any different?? There is already a s**t load of sex, violence, swearin n drugs. what are they gonna uncut??

  5. OMG…don’t theu have any other shows to play with….survivor, weeds,er etc etc etc. I have never watched underbelly and I never will. Channel 9 is going to the dogs….again

I can understand Nine wanting to repeat Underbelly, but I would’ve thought it would’ve made more sense to wait until Season 2 finished its run, then maybe continue into Season 1 at 9.30 Mondays, it would attract the Melb audience that haven’t seen it, and prehaps those who haven’t seen it in other states (because Season 2 has rated higher than Season 1 in most states) And Season 2 after all was a Prequel it would make sense if Nine were to run repeats to run them after the finale of Season 2.

  8. I saw a promo of Hell’s Kitchen yesterday, as a part of nine’s tuesday line up. Surely they could have edited those ads after they made the amendment. But then again, this is channel nine we are talking about….

    Channel 9 might as well have a new channel that shows Underbelly 24/7!

  10. I read the title and thought for a millisecond they might have have some sense and actually listened to the people and we would actually be getting Survivor.
    Of course reality hit to show they are bumping these stupid shows for reruns of shows that have rerun! Genius programming Nine! Way to lose more viewers.

    on the strict guidelines of “the list” this does take 9’s schedual cut tally to 11shows this year, 7 is at 2, and 10 at 1.

  12. Naturally, they will have left this too late for printed guides so the masses they aim for will not know what is going on as usual. Underbelly is now on overkill.

    So many shows 9 has but does not show. How about ER and Survivor as 2 examples. Enough of the repetitive unimaginative programming.

    Based on the programming of their main channel, imagine how many times the same shows will end up on their 2nd channel per week. Who is making these decisions? Monkeys?

  13. Although Nine wants to bring back Underbelly to coincide with its Logies nominations, this is not the right time to show it. Nine has so many programs in the cupboard that can be shown at 9.30pm, e.g. Survivor. Speaking of Underbelly, it will be interesting to see which clips Nine will pick for screening during the Logie Awards telecast.

  15. well that sucks. Now after All Saints finishes I have nothing to watch. Not interested in more underbelly. Good on you 9., very original with your shows. No wonder you lose the ratings. You only have 4 shows to work with. So when will we see the rest of these hell kitchen episodes. I don’t care if you put it on at 2 in the morning.

    shove ramsay down our throat, shove two and half men down throat,shove 20-1 down throat, now it is “Underbelly shovelled in.
    Enough !!!
    Anyone would think Nine has no other “unaired products” err Weeds and I am sure others could add 20 shows to the list.
    Obviously Nine does not want us to watch them ?

  18. So I’m confused. In melbourne the week after do we get hells kitchen still because we are still banned from the first underbelly? Im actually enjoying this season of hells kitchen even though it’s just started. Why can’t they just put it on at 10:30 on any night of the. I know it’s not rating but some people are watching so what difference does it make. All channel 9 have is bert, two and a half men and underbelly which finishes in a month apparently. If you need to rely on bert to win rating they are in a lot of trouble.

    Who would have thought a year ago that gordon would get axed from channel 9 this year.

  19. Why the hell isn’t Melbourne getting the Uncut version? The Uncut version they refer to obviously isn’t one which is not edited for legal reasons – the other states already got that version last year. So they must be talking about the MA DVD version, and I therefore do not understand why they won’t show this in Melbourne…

  23. David, if Melbourne is not getting series 1 of Underbelly (I guess due to nine still unable to air the series here), what will nine be airing locally at the same time as what other states will be seeing Underbelly series 1?

  24. gordon ramsey out again,hope he comes back the following week if not why buy the series if channel nine is going to bump it and then get rid of the series not even half way through,just when some of us get interest to see who will win now we wont.

  25. This is odd. So Perth and Adelaide will continue to get HK and Bridezillas? Hmmm. I wonder if they’ll bother past episode 5 in Melbourne, if they do I expect it will get a higher profile slot
