Tuesdays are up for a change

Is Seven planning a return for Rafters shortly? And how does a TEN programmer work around that?

packed-rafters-fam2It’s worth noting that so far Seven has left a TBA in its schedule for Tuesday June 30th from 8:30pm – 10:30pm.

That’s normally where All Saints sits, followed by 10 Years Younger in 10 Days which concludes the previous week, June 23rd.

There has been some talk that Seven was looking to bring Packed to the Rafters back earlier, due to the strength of TEN’s Tuesday programming.

Could it do so on June 30?

It would also mean Rafters would not go head to head with new NCIS episodes, which also concludes on June 23.

The return of Seven’s drama is also crucial to Rush which would surely love to travel out of the Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation lead-in, were it not for Seven. It would be a fatal move, and it knows it. Still, the Micallef panel show won’t have enough episodes to sustain that pairing in any case.

Seven will reveal its hand soon…. probably sometime next week.

  1. have only see 1 eps of this show but i do hope they repeat it on their second SD channel late this year or early next year, i think that alot of people would upgeard to digital to see this a second time

  2. It’s a funny sigh when ch7 is worried about ch10, I could see them bringing Pack back sooner but then what will they do in the new year, move on to S3?

When even it’s on it’s surely to be in the top 3 if not willing the night, a head-to-head fight with NCIS would be interesting. BTW having seen the NCIS final it’s good but not as strong as last year, but given the numbers it has been getting it should still rate high, I would love the Navy guys to beat the Rafters!

  3. June 30th is the date that people have been saying all year. it is exactly 22 tuesdays before the end of the year, it works well with the production calendar, and it is the week after the NCIS final so it’s perfect and eric thompson said on sunrise that it would be returning june/july. so i doubt it was a change just because of ten’s strong tuesdays i’d say it was always the plan.

  4. I think it Rush should go Thursdays 8:30, followed by Criminal Intent at 9:30. Criminal Intent will be fine in a 9:30 timeslot and Rush would really benefit from the earlier 8:30 slot. Tuesday didnt work for it and all the other nights have far too strong competition…
