Airdate: Michael Jackson: The Last Time

Yep, there's another Jacko special rushed to schedule, this time on Seven.

michaeljacksonAnd then we’ll get Michael Jackson: The Years between 2003 – 2006, Michael Jackson: What He Did on Sundays and Michael Jackson: Programmers Argue Over Which Bit of Footage To String Out For More Ratings.

Yep, there’s another Jacko special rushed to schedule, Michael Jackson: The Last Time, this time on Seven.

It is slated for 7:30pm Monday night, as the network did this week.

This one features his last televised concert, reuniting with his brothers on stage as The Jackson 5 for the first time in twenty years.

Once again it bumps the finale of How I Met Your Mother and a repeat of Scrubs, this time to July 13.

Don’t blame it on the sunshine.

  2. Yay!!! 🙂
I so remember watching this! I was 5 and it was the first time that I actually saw what Michael Jackson looked like! This was so cool! My family taped this and I just watch this over and over again. I wish they showed MoonWalker though because I’ve never seen it but I heard it was amazing too!

I’m so glad that it’s gonna be shown but I’ll also be really sad watching this. They are all singing and dancing together and they look like they are having a great time, having fun and loving finally being together on stage and then we all know that this is never going to happen again with them all together!

But still great job seven! Very proud that you have handled this event with respect unlike channel nine, who aren’t even worth saying anything about!

  3. I remember watching this back when it aired the first time – it was a great concert, can’t wait to see it again. I’m still so shocked about his death, and sad that we will never get to see his “this is it” concert that would have certainly come to Australia… RIP MJ – you’re in a better place now, free from all the feral haters .

  4. Its actually a really good concert. I want to see all his older concert dug out and broadcast too. Some of the best things he did were the in-the-moment Billie Jean routine robot/gravity defi moves. Hee-hoo! Shumonn!

  5. i was wondering why my tivo didn’t tape How i Met Your Mother finale.
It even now available to download on Itunes Austalia.
Might just watch from channel BT

  6. Brace yourself for more Specials.. ‘The life & times of Michael Jackson’ on SkyNews-Australia i understand this weekend..

..and rage will be Airing a Michael Jackson special on August 1st

  7. This will be the first ‘special’ MJ programming I will watch. Not at all interested in ‘what really happened’ when no one knows, but will be interested to watch his concert. Feel sorry for the HIMYM fans though.

  8. I know Seven has a packed schedule right now with no movie nights to bump but why Monday and may HIMYM season final again! Thank god I saw it several weeks ago…

  9. I too would rather watch a concert of his than more documentaries on his controversies, we should be remembering him for the talent he was, not his personal life.

Although I do wish Seven could just play out the season final of HIMYM. I’m not going to wait for another 2 weeks before I get the chance to see it, given Seven don’t through in another special of some description.

  10. I’m happy about this. I enjoyed this concert.

Pity Seven was petty enough to rename it.

It’s actually called the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Concert.

  11. Now this is what I’m talking about! A proper Michael Jackson tribute to remember him by his artistic, creative and out of this world talent…Will definitely watch it!

  12. Yeah, at least it’s not a rehash of footage and clips that we’ve all seen before. It’ll be great to see a concert of his on TV!
