Andrea Savage joins US Wilfred cast

US actress Andrea Savage (Dinner for Schmucks, Step Brothers) has joined the cast of FX’s adaptation of SBS comedy Wilfred.

Savage will co-star alongside star and co-creator Jason Gann and Elijah Wood as the owner of the cynical, bong-smoking mutt.

The role was originally played by Cindy Waddingham.

Her credits include Comedy Central’s Dog Bites Man, which she produced, HBO sketch comedy Funny or Die Presents and Bravo’s short-lived Significant Others. She has also had guest roles in Cold Case, Two and a Half Men and Party Down.

She also has a project in development with 20th Century Fox TV-based Chernin Entertainment and is writing a script for Castle Rock.
