  1. Thanks David. But um….. what does all this mean:

Is the average person meant to know how to tune in with that info?
Sky are boasting 98% of the population can tune in, but I am certain 100% of the population would not know what all that means.

What a pointless thing for them to do

  2. Tempting as it would be to watch a panel with John Hewson (he has been brilliant on Gruen and I’d sincerely like to see more of him on TV) I can’t risk tuning in to Bob Hawke as I still haven’t recovered from the sex scene in the bio pic and his preening about his prowess in the interview that followed. So I’ll stick with Aunty where I can be reasonbly sure I will not encounter any octogenarian chick magnets.

  3. “the SKY News Election Day broadcast will be made available live to 98% of the globe through an exclusive 7-satellite network that SKY News has commissioned for the day”

For those of us outside Australia, how do we tune in to one of these 7 satellites?

  4. Just how many of the “reporters with live cameras in ten key electorates spanning across Australia will be nothing more than splits of feeds from 9 or 7 reporters and crews? More news-on-the-cheap from Sky.

  5. Now the choice is really tough – having been an ABC viewer for many years for political commentary, Sky are now well placed to challenge. They get an abundance of pollies appearing through each day, and I personally find the interviewing styles of David Speers and Kieran Gilbert far superior to anything on 7,9,10. They are giving Kerry and Tony et al a run for their money. For me, Big Red and Antony Green are still the goer. Sky will endlessly analyse it on SUnday, but Saturday night – ABC will be right on the pulse. But Sky is tempting!
