TEN has announced it will begin replaying 6PM with George Negus in late nights from Monday.
The show will now air at 10:30pm in a bid to gain some extra viewers. TEN did this for The 7PM Project in summer 2010.
TEN Late News with Sports Tonight will air from 11pm.
The Negus replay will be adjusted to 10:40 on Tuesdays & 11:30pm on Fridays following Outrageous Fortune.

How is it George Negus, is the only reporter not to comment on the Carbon Trading and Julia Gillards lies and deception. Oh!. Thats right he thinks he is still working for the ABC arm of the Labor Party. Sorry I watched for the first time, I knew better, won’t make that mistake again.
Just dump the poor thing already.I see another level 23 from the nineties all over again that thing tanked after only a few months and was replaced rather promptly by the then new Simpsons.
@Jake,Has Goerge ever been to ABC? Since when? Nothing,Just interested.
Anyways,TEN’s wasting George’s talent,I love him on Dateline,And I’m still disappointed that he left SBS.
I’ve seen 6PM,It’s better than TT and ACA,But it’s still wanting, maybe due to the fact that I’m used to ABC News 🙂
I think this a great idea. I hope it works for them as 6pm is a quality show.
Just get rid of this garbage.I bet you he did worse in the ratings than the short lived Taken Out did at 6pm back in 2008 and let us remind Ten that Negus at 6pm is the dumbest thing ever done at that hour since the also 2008 over the summer that year experiment of Bold and the Beautiful and probably just as bad or slow.
Well, strictly speaking, the 7pm Project experiment occured in the summer of 2009/10. It was so disappointing when the Ten programmers didn’t do it again this summer, I wanted something to fill in the Lateline hiatus gap.
Oh, so Ten Late News which I often watch is now going to air when I go to bed. Well that’s one late night viewer lost!
This replay won’t help. The show is over before it started. George you should have remained at ABC where you were appreciated. Loyal ABC Current affairs/new viewers are more intelligent than those watching Channel 10 news service. It’s a different audience. Thwey wouldn’t know real talent if it hit them on their head!!
