Airdate: Parkinson: The Frost Interview, Frost on Parkinson

Nine lines up two of the UK's best interviewers, now set to scrutinise one another.

Next Monday night Nine airs a 90 minute special Parkinson: The Frost Interview, in which longtime UK chat show host Michael Parkinson interviews longtime journo David Frost.

Michael Parkinson hosts this exclusive television event – interviewing the world’s other great TV talk show pioneer, the legendary David Frost. Includes the stories behind Frost’s famous Richard Nixon interview plus Frost’s discovery of the Two Ronnies and The Monty Python stars.

Then a week later it’s the reverse as Frost on Parkinson airs for 90 minutes.

In a rare event, legendary interviewer David Frost sits down with fellow renowned interviewer Sir Michael Parkinson. Held in Australia earlier this year, Frost talks to Parkinson about his stellar career and his personal life including the highs and lows.

These will air at 9:30pm Monday March 7 and 14, replacing CSI: Miami.

  1. I am a part of the army of Hey Hey Its Saturday vatican assassin warlocks.

We will not rest until the show is brought back. And in the meantime these 2 interviews will flop. I haven’t slept for around four days, but its ok. I’ve been printing thousands of leaflets which will be distributed in and around the channel Nine headquarters. Possibly followed by a bomb or two. Actually, we’ll hold that off until next month.

    Mark my words.

  2. If you’re a fan of Parkinson, you should get his DVD, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon. Looking forward to this. Shouldn’t the universe explode if they interviewed each other 😀

  3. Will be interesting to see how Frost’s i/v of Parkie compares with that of Andrew Denton on “Enough Rope” from a couple of years ago.

None of them can hold a candle to Rove anyway!

  4. I think this would actually rate better on the ABC. Doesn’t seem to be a show that would appeal to a “Channel 9 audience”. Especially running till 11pm as surely it would skew to an older audience who would be heading off to bed not long after 9.30. I would imagine on the ABC it would likely run at 7.30 Sunday.
