Bumped: Blue Bloods

More changes at TEN, which will also impact on Law and Order.

More changes at TEN with Blue Bloods now moving timeslots.

From next week it moves to 9:30pm Fridays, replacing Law and Order (now out of schedule).

In place of Blue Bloods on Wednesdays, TEN is relying on a Modern Family “Hour”, consisting of 2 repeat episodes.

Last night Blue Bloods pulled 565,000 fourth in its timeslot -which is a shame because so far this has been a pretty entertaining drama.

  1. What is the matter with you people a good show like blue bloods you take off we wait to see it and enjoy it we are sooo sick of reality shows and a decent one you take off we ertainly will watch another network on fridays at ten o clock

  2. to the programmers/bean counters at Channel 10:

if only you would show conviction and commitment to quality. shows that emphasise character development such as Blue Bloods need to shown patience with a Set time slot.

haven’t we all had enough of rubbish (and cheaply produced) reality shows that cater to the lowest common denominator.

Some of TV’s most successful shows to a couple of years to win their audience – Seinfeld comes to mind….

  3. You bunch of inbreed boneheads working in the programming are pathetic , you had awsome show ( blue bloods) and took it of air to put garbage shows and f***ed the rest of the viewers

The best TV programming is in America the rest of the Country’s suck in programming TY for putting on the garbage shows like

  4. Bring Blue Bloods back!!!

You advertised the next episode then all we got was garbage and now you aren’t even showing what you advertised!!!

Sick of TV channels taking away what they promise….there is nothing on so back to reading a good book!!!!!

SO many channels and nothing to watch AGAIN!

  5. Put blue bloods back on and get rid of all the realty rubbish. Channel 10 changes too many programs from one night to another and just because it was Easter why do we have to have all repeats on all channels. Not everyone is away on leave. Just give programs a chance for people to be drawn in.

  6. Mu hubby n I love blue bloods. The morals n family ties are inspiring. In a world where me myself and I reigns it’s not surprising this show has not been that popular.

  7. its stupid how the channels will keep moving shows around just because it doesn’t come in #1 or 2 in its first few weeks…..I find Blue Bloods a pretty good show, but if they move it around all the time it wil turn a lot away….no wonder so many just d/l the shows from the internet

  8. I was settled down to watch Blue Bloods tonight (Wednesday) and find I have to watch cheap American rubbish. Why the change? Mid week is great for TV – guess I will stay all night on channel 7.

  9. No! Wednesday nights were great for this. Now I have nothing to watch Wednesdays and plenty on Friday night – SYTYCD US (which will overlap with Blue Blood) and there is also Footy starting this week!!! Bring it back to Wednesday.

  10. I enjoy this show, i dont care when its on. just aslong as it is broadcasted so i can record it..

Put more police shows on, preferably Australian ones..
Like Rush and Recruits.. and how about Recruits Fire and Rescue or Army/Navy even..
better than watching so heffer trying to lose weight…..

  11. Dame, did like this one after missing first 2 eps
Fridays will kill it for sure
Please dont do a nine with sheen nightmare and repeat MF to much TEN

  12. We agree with you David, I have been enjoying this show and I am a bit of a Tom Selleck fan, maybe putting against Farmer wants a wife on 9 is this same demo ?. They should stop moving there shows around so much I am loosig track of what I want to watch.

  13. Don’t put Blue Bloods on Fridays. It’s fine on Wednesdays.
And I like Law and Order too. Keep it on Fridays. And it’s the final season too. Finish it already.
And what about putting on Wednesdays: Medium, Numb3rs, anything but Modern Family repeats.

  14. The show is decent and have caught every episode but moving it to Friday night will be the death of it. Friday night for me is movie night. Sorry channel Ten.

  15. All the stations have a lack of care for the viewer anyway.Channel 10 are just waiting till MasterChef with the Three Bloated Stooges to come back and they will milk it for all its worth , then there will be the cross over stories on ACA and TT , to complain about or praise it.

  16. What works on one night in one time slot does not automatically translate to a different night or time. Demographics of the available audience changes. People have come to realise that Tv station execs / programming gibbons are like politicians. They will stare you straight in the face and lie. Every programs is the funniest, the most hillarious, the most dramatic etc and when they don’t live up to the unreasonable hyped expectation, they shed numbers. Nothing is allowed to find its feet and audience. If something is inherently good, it will grow an audience. Advertise responsibly, give it a place and leave it there for more than 4-5 eps and see.
We are also tired of “encore” performances in the same week as the original screening – its rubbish.
As others have said, I love Modern Family, have seen them all (and the repeats), as would most others that enjoy it. We don’t need it again; as mentioned, the saturation puts you off future eps.

    (climbs off soapbox 🙂 )

  17. I knew it wouldn’t be long before Ten screwed Law & Order over. Glad I didn’t bother wasting my time following it. Guess I’ll stick to alternate methods of watching it…

  18. Channel 10 isn’t getting anything right this year… The Biggest Loser, NCIS, Glee and Modern Family are really their only successes atm…
They moved Good News Week and now its borderline struggling. Lie To Me is failing (and has been for a while). Blue Bloods started out slow and got worse. SVU is steady but nothing special. The Good Wife started strong, got moved and now slowly falling. Undercover Boss suffered from excessive play over the last 6 months. Hawaai Five-O is barely a hit. NCIS:LA has taken a huge dive since moving away from NCIS. House is failing.

I don’t know whether to blame the U.S. market for producing barely any hit shows this season, or for Ch10 for not having Any locally made scripted programs atm. Seriously… Offspring did well, Rush is still going… Get with the times, Ten.
