After just one episode, new tween-horror series Teen Wolf is moving to a new timeslot.

It will now air at 10:30pm Mondays, following a repeat of Bones.

The show pulled just 492,000 viewers on Monday night, despite its Amazing Race lead-in of 1.03m viewers.

Seven lost the night to Nine.

The new timeslot takes effect from next Monday, July 11th.

  1. Ok the FTA commercial channels need to stop putting repeats in primetime spots! Nine has 3 repeats of CSI Miami on this week when they could be showing new programming and it is absolutely rediculous! Same with Seven how Castle has been repets for over a month when there are still episodes of the season left to show. In regards to Teen Wolf, it was made by MTV U.S. and its first episode got 2.6 million in a country of over 330 million so Seven should see that 400k+ in a county of over 20mill is great for a six episode miniseries. If they wanted a series that got averaged 1mill than they shouldn’t have brought it as it was easy to see that wasnt going to happen – simple!

  2. like everyone has said, move it to 7mate but have the first run eps at 9:30 or 8:30 monday instead. do we need 2 nights of Family Guy and American Dad? then have the repeat on Seven at 10:30 or later. like what they did with Eastbound but in reverse.

  3. I said it would be better at the same time on 7mate and, like everyone else here, am not surprised it rated badly or that Seven have acted quickly to move it. However, I think bumping it to 10:30 is not the right move considering the age of its target demo.

I used to like Family Guy and thought it was great when I read that it was going to be on 7mate paired with American Dad, but I’m sick of it now. It’s become 7mate’s 2.5 Spams. Surely they could drop a couple of eps somewhere in the week for Teen Wolf.

What odds will anyone give me that in a couple of weeks this will end up being shown after midnight?

  4. Don’t blame 7 for trying it in that spot. It’s better to try and fail than just have a modest return on 7mate with little chance of large increases. It’s always easier to pull back than push up the scale! As for all the genius predictors here well done

  5. I knew this would happen. MTV decides to show it’s new show first on FTA and as usual a FTA network does not know what to do with it.
After the next episode it will probably be removed, sit on a shelf at seven until the rights expire and then MTV will decide to show it, when they run out of crappy reality shows.

  6. I. Am. Shocked! No, not really. Don’t know why they bothered, this is the sort of show that belongs on 7Mate. Perhaps instead of showing three hours of Family Guy and American Dad (like they did last night), they could put this on instead.

  7. Not surprised by this one.. I think the Seven programming department had a Nine moment when they originally programmed this after Amazing Race… they are very different demos and not surprised by the drop off.

  8. Not a great surprise here. Ch7 are begining to struggle a bit on a few nights now. They have had a good run this year, but it is slowly coming to an end. Just another reason not to watch any US series on fta commercial networks…..none of them seem to get this concept
