Returning: The Amazing Race Australia

You've probably been waiting for this one to return...

You’ve probably been waiting for this one to return…

Seven will give you plenty next week when it screens the last three episodes of The Amazing Race Australia at 7:30pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

This strategically allows Seven to avoid launching X Factor against Big Brother‘s first week.

In case you had forgotten we are down to Paul & Steve, Shane & Andrew, Michelle & Jo, Joseph & Grace and
Lucy & Emilia.

  1. @Guy, Yeah I think Seven pushed Once along during the Olympics because they want to fasttrack season 2. If they wanted to kill it off they would not show a Once ad coming in and out of every ad break during the show, reminding people when Once is on. Also they wouldn’t at the last minute change the finale from being part of the double episode on Sunday, to suddenly airing 8:30pm Monday after Amazing Race. To top it all off, they are promoting the Once finale as epic and being part of ‘Massive Monday’, along with Amazing Race.

  2. Can’t wait for these final 3 episodes. It feels like forever since this last aired. As for Once the finale is going to be great. From what i have read its going to be an amazing ending. I am hopeful that Seven pushed this along during the Olympics so we get season 2 in October. Fingers crossed anyway.

  3. Thanks David. I thought Once Upon a Time was meant to be on 7.30pm Monday. But according to the EPG it’ll be on at 8.30pm. Well that’s mean to any kids watching the series.

P.S. Thinking about it if they wanted it at 8.30pm why didn’t they just do a double episode on Sunday?

  4. I’m a pretty harsh critic of Australian TV, seeing it mostly as mediocre at best and usually much worse. But every so often it does something really well and Amazing Race Australia is one of these. In fact it may be unique in Australian TV in that it’s an overseas copy that is actually better than the original. And OK it’s not the West Wing but credit where credit is due. But it does raise the question why can’t the rest of Australian TV aspire to higher standards?
