Arena apologises for Young & Restless mix up
Arena says sorry after playing the wrong episode of US soap.

Arena has apologised for playing an episode of The Young and the Restless out of sequence on Monday, after viewers were puzzled as to the storyline.
On Monday the character of Chelsea had given birth. but by Tuesday, she was back to being pregnant. Â Even for a soap storyline it was a tad far-fetched.
In a statement, Arena said: “We acknowledge that on Monday January 13, an incorrect episode of this series aired on Arena. We understand how frustrating this is for our viewers and sincerely apologise for this error.
“We have taken this incident very seriously, and on initial investigation we have discovered the episodes were scheduled correctly, however the incorrect material was delivered to us with the mistake not picked up prior to telecast. We are continuing to look into this and carefully viewing future episodes to ensure this sort of error does not occur again.”

Aussie, we’re actually just over 7 months behind. My suggestion would be for Arena to at least air one extra episode a week (12pm Sundays maybe?), which would edge slowly us closer to US episodes without having to miss any. UKTV did this with one of the UK soaps for years I believe.
40 years ago a similar thing happened when Channel 0 (10) accidentally played 2 episodes of Number 96 in the wrong order. Viewers were left a little confused over that!

Where they could return days of our lives general Hospital and not make silly mistakes like this.
I believe it’s not the first time Arena has done that to Y&R. I believe they played episodes in the wrong order a few months back too.
It’s about time they played double episodes to catch up with the US broadcast too – 9 months behind is a bit much!
