“You know those other shows where you gotta wait for results?” asks Rising Star.
Yes the next talent show to hit US screens, based on an Israeli format, has released a trailer where it explains its concept of incorporating Live viewer voting.
The show had to consult with mathematicians to sort the headache of time zone differences in the US.
ABC (USA) will tweak its West Coast airings to show real-time voting particular to those viewers and a comparison to how the earlier time zones voted. Any contestant who didn’t make it through to the next round based on the eastern seaboard votes -but ends up faring better with the West Coast crowd- will still go through. But they won’t necessarily reflect imagery of the voting audience.
Nine has Australian rights for a local version and will be watching closely to see if it pops in the US.

I’m surprised they couldn’t find someone with more credibility than Kesha, though. Just as well that they’re “not the judges”, I suppose.
Agree with randwick, why do we need anymore talent shows, get something different.
Good thing it isn’t on Ten. I doubt they could afford all those new screens.
I love this show. It’s exactly what The Voice should’ve been.
Australia does not need another reality talent show ….
