FOX Sports, Bachelorette runner-up in charity gesture for CanTeen

FOX Sports is getting behind a charity push for CanTeen that will see Bachelorette runner-up Michael Turnbull auction himself in a date, for a good cause.

The auction will raise money for Joey Lynch, a Hodgkin’s Lymphoma sufferer who has exhausted all treatment options available to him in Australia. CanTeen is hoping to raise $800,000 to fly Lynch to the USA to take part in an early stage clinical trial.

This Sunday (15 November) will be transformed into ‘Lift for Lynchy’ Day on FOX Sports 505.

Former Socceroo and Shootout host Mark Bosnich has thrown his support behind the cause, having agreed to be ‘dunked’ by former NBA star and Sydney Kings player Al Harrington if the fundraising target is met.

Fans can head to EBay to bid on the date with Turnbull, with FOX Sports football presenter, Tara Rushton, to announce the winner on Shootout at 7.00pm EDT on Sunday.
