Richmond AFL player Alex Rance is joining Nine’s Victorian travel series Postcards as a presenter and will be a regular panelist and present a new segment on the AFL Footy Show.
His rising star follows a Footy Show segment in which he took Sam Newman on a Pokémon Go! hunting expedition.
Nine Melbourne’s Head of Production and Programming, Tim Cleary, said: “Every now and then a player stands out from the crowd and we think Alex does that, and he’s a natural on screen.
“You’ll see him out and about on Postcards and he’s filming a new segment for The Footy Show. The Pokémon piece he did with Sam last year is a nod to what he’ll be doing more regularly on the show this year.”
“I’m excited about joining both Postcards and The Footy Show this year. I am looking forward to showing people my creative side and having a lot of laughs,” Rance said.
Rance will be seen on Postcards when it returns at 5.30pm Sunday, February 5.
