“Think you know your footy?” asked a Nine promo for the AFL Footy Show before proceeding to tell viewers it was on the hunt for footy’s greatest brain.
“Plus Adam Rance is back on the road with Sam.”
Except that would be Richmond’s Alex Rance (pictured), who also presents for Postcards.
We’ll just put this one down to Sydney promo dept….

Reminds me of when Bob Rose – a legendary Collingwood player from the 1950s and ’60s – died. It happened after The Age had gone to the central computer to be printed. The editor had to call a code red meaning the whole front page had to be redone to report Bob’s death. One of the IT people in Sydney phoned and asked “Who’s Bob Rose?”
Being a Sydney person, I have no clue what this story is about.

As a Sydney AFL fan, I don’t understand what was wrong with the promo?
I mean apart from getting Alex Rance’s name wrong.
Networks shouldn’t be getting the names of their talent wrong in promos. We don’t hear Wally Ali, Brad McAvaney, Shane Micallef. It’s not a hanging offence which is why the Oops is there.
