Season 6 of Elementary returns to TEN later this month.
This aired in the US in April.
“An Infinite Capacity for Taking Pains”
As Holmes confronts a medical diagnosis that threatens both his career and sobriety, he meets Michael, a man who credits Sherlock for helping him conquer his own addiction. This time around, Michael would like to return the favour to Sherlock by helping him out with his current problem. Holmes and Watson are hired by a reformed party girl heiress to track down her missing boyfriend. The duo’s latest client believes that her lover was responsible for the circulation of a sex video that was taped many years ago. Holmes and Watson must find him before he can use the video to extort money.
10:15pm Sunday July 29 on TEN.

Looks like they’re trying to re-boot interest in the show. The last series was shown in double episodes, on ELEVEN. Returning it to single episodes on their primary channel is an unusual move.
It was on One, but other than that, completely agree. Interesting move to say the least.
Ten were stuck in an output deal with CBS, going bankrupt and couldn’t afford the costs of airing Elementary. They appeared to be hoping that Showcase (who had bought repeats for S1-4) would take S5 of their hands. CBS on the other hand has lots of their US content that they have nothing better to do with than fill up 10’s late night slots. They can bill Ten for the per episode costs and ensure that Ten never makes a profit and has to pay tax or broadcast licences ever again. Elementary is a lot better than most of it.
I’m glad TEN is bringing back new episodes of Elementary, but what about Bull? When are they going to show new episodes?
I am so shocked that I don’t even know if I am happy about my 2nd favourite (I am sure it has overtaken a Mikeless Suits) drama coming back on TV. We waited forever for season 5. The CBS influence is showing.
Agreed
