Survivor (US) plans self-isolating finale
"Winners at War" Reunion won't be in front of a live studio audience.

Survivor host Jeff Probst will talk to contestants through online video when the show’s current season conducts its post-finale Reunion next month.
“Winners at War” which completed filming in Fiji, wraps in the US on May 13. But instead of the usual Reunion with a studio audience, Probst will be chatting to winners who are safely in hibernation at home.
Survivor was due to begin production on its 41st season in March in Fiji, but that has now been delayed.
The series is screening in Australia on 9GO!

Absolutely necessary but so frustrating for the producers and everyone. The 40th season finale should have been the biggest celebration the show has ever seen – and it deserves it. It was even rumoured to be Jeff’s final season as host with Joe Anglim (Worlds Apart; Cambodia; Edge Of Extinction) prepped to take over from S41 but there’s been no further word on that recently.
I asked JLP about this, and he told me Probst was heading for 41st in Fiji before it was halted.
Wow – that’s solid insight right there. Thanks, David! 🙂
I think (probably hope) that when Probst bows out so does Survivor. Wouldn’t be the same without him.
In watching a lot of the international versions (Aus, SA & NZ), I think the game & Show is bigger than one host (/producer).
ilovetv: MasterChef Australia has been proving that this week.
